I'm running late for a wedding...not mine, I'm already married...and honestly I am not even attending this one. It is for my old high school buddie's firstborn daughter. I haven't seen her in about 20 years, but it's one of those obligatory cards you make because of old old friendships. But when I RSVP'd I was so relieved that I had remembered, I threw out the invitation with the outer envelope! Then I couldn't remember what the date was...but thankfully another friend of the same friend helped me out last night. So this is the wedding card, first one I have ever made.
I used the two stamp sets: Friends 27 and Elegant Greetings. The damask flourish is stamped on bashful blue, then the sentiment in black. I thought these two colors looked somewhat formal and appropriate for a bride and groom. The rest is self explanatory, using the Cuttlebug embossing folder for more texture, and white sheer ribbon. Once I had the ribbon done I noticed something I had not planned...the ribbon formed a cross! That seemed so fitting to me! Two tiny rhinestones adorn the top and base of the flourish! I hope the black matting is alright for a wedding, I was thinking black formal tuxedos! What do you think?
what a beauty......fab wedding card
