It's another beautiful Sunday here, and another stamping challenge from Stampin' Sisters in Christ! This week's scripture and challenge is hosted by the talented and lovely Kristine Breach. Why don't you visit the blog and see all she has to share in her devotional today as well as visit the DT's cards? You won't be disappointed, I'm sure!
So today's scripture is:
Colossians 1:27b "...Christ in you, the hope of glory"
The challenge: Create a card using vellum or acetate
Today's generous sponsor: Serendipity Stamps $25.00 gift certificate (Love their stamps!)
Thanks to Serendipity stamps, each of the DT members were given a choice of stamps and I chose this Adirondak Chair. The detail is quite amazing, and I knew this would make up into a cute country card with the embossed vellum and red gingham, a red button tied with twine to adorn one corner.
I love the look of vellum on kraft paper with gingham, don't you?
We hope you will take the time to play along with this week's challenge and also make a stop to Serendipity Stamps to thank them for their sponsorship this week. Can't wait to see what you will create!
Thanks so much for popping in today...I wish you a day of relaxation in your favorite chair!! :)
Your card is just lovely, such a beautiful and quiet image.. I love how you used the vellum.
ReplyDeleteI love this card Traci! Such a relaxing image - The use of vellum was perfect - love the gingham too! Have a relaxing day and week.
ReplyDeleteTraci, this is very country and full of charm! I love the way you used the vellum and embossed it. And your coloring is so rich and beautiful. One of my very first SU! stamp sets -- prolly about 10 yrs. ago was a country set including a very similar stamp as this. Something so relaxing. Makes me want to go to the beach for some reason :) You have a great week. I'm sure will be great to have your hubby back home. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteawww... now this looks relaxing. Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteI could just stretch out quite happily on an outside chair like that. A few weeks ago, I was able to do such... it was lovely and sunny and warm. I had a week off work on holiday and it was great to enjoy the sunshine. The weeks since however have brought rain, hail, wind and snow!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet card. Love the embossing on vellum. This is a beautiful image...great for coloring. Just a lovely card, Traci!
