Strawberry Pickin' Time

There was a challenge today on one of my favorite places to be, Splitcoast Stamper's...and it was to make a card in honor of a holiday in May! Do you know how many holidays there are in May, just google it and you'll be amazed! Besides Mother's Day, Memorial Day, May 10th is "Clean Your Room" Day...and the entire month is designated as Strawberry Month!
I really should be cleaning my room that is, my stamp room, but I wanted to use some of this sweet paper in my little supply stash! The sketch is this week's Mojo Monday sketch, check my sdie bar for the link to those...
I have a hard time with sketches, especially if the measurements aren't there...and I spent a lot longer getting this cut right before I just glued it all together. But I am pretty okay with the outcome, the little strawberry on top is cut out from the paper, then carefully added crystal effects, and with surgeon's precision, laid that on top of the cupcake!
When I was little, I always made my Mom birthday or Mother's Day cakes, and they always had to be pink! And that usually meant a strawberry or cherry cake...so this one is pink in the inside, just in case you were wondering!
Thanks for stopping in today...and tomorrow I am going to share a yummy and easy strawberry recipe...but for now it's time to eat dinner.

  2. Cherry or strawberry cakes are the best as long as they are made with pink icing, because pink makes all things taste better!
