  2. Traci, one of my favorite quotes is the one I have in my siggy at SCS: "Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift, that is why it is called the present" I am sure the quote is from some else, but I heard it from Master Oogway from the movie, "Kungfu Panda".

  3. Traci, one of my favorite quotes is this one
"Never worry about numbers. Help one person at a time, and always start with the person nearest you." - Mother Teresa

This lady was such an inspiration to all those around her.

  4. Hi Traci.
One of my most favorite quotes which I have attached to my computer screen is
We can't help everyone. But everyone can help someone.
I am not sure where the quote came from. I got it in a fortune cookie several years ago and I kept it as a daily reminder to help people when I can.

  5. Traci, one of my favorite sayings or quotes is the "live well, laugh often and love much". I've researched it and have not found an author but it desribes me to a T. I enjoyed taking time to scroll down and review all of your posts before signing the guest book. You've had some really pretty cards!

Heather Cortez . . . To the world you may be one person but to one person you may be the world.
I like that quotation because we always have a reason to try, no matter how small our world might feel.

  11. Look at you Traci giving away blog candy! I need to do that, too! I love that bird by Joyce. She is so talented.

A few quotes came to mind (besides Bible verses):
"He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose."
    Jim Elliot

"Safe? Don't you hear what Mrs Beaver tells you? Of course he isn't safe... but... he's GOOD... He's the King." Mr Beaver in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

"Sometimes as a parent you just can't win." and
"I don't worry about the big things that I can't change." my friend, Traci Major

"It's not WHAT you said, it's HOW you said it." Me, to my kids. All the time. LOL!

  16. Yum, blog candy. I read this a few days ago in a Billy Graham daily devotional.
Prayer unlocks the doors of heaven and releases the power of God. God's answers are always right and good and best. Whether prayer changes our situation or not, one thing is certain: Prayer will change us!
    i Thessalonians 5:17&18

  17. Ready Traci??? Wherever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own SUNSHINE!! by Anthony J. D'Angelo. See? I told you I've been thinking about you!

One of my favorite quotes...and a good reminder to hold loosely to things and tightly to God...

"He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep, to gain what he cannot lose." Jim Elliot, christian missionary, explaining his motivation to go to a headhunter tribe to share the Gospel. They killed him, but the tribe later heard the Gospel, received Christ, and was totally transformed.

    WOW!

  21. Lucky you to have a store in town.. We have NOTHING here. I do have this paper though from Flourishes and it is my favorite.

Don't enter me in the draw but this is one of my favorite quotes. My uncle passed away suddenly when I was little and my mom gave this quote to my aunt. She still has that quote hanging in her house. :)

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but don’t you quit.

She told me she has had it for 34 years..:) I am not sure of the author but thought it was special that she had kept it all these years. It is even more special to her since my mom passed away 19 years ago..

    Hugs..
