I thought I had put this set away until next summer, but decided to try it out with brown as an accent color, and love it! The berries took me awhile to color because I was trying to achieve the shading of the berries, other than that this went together pretty quickly. The button in one corner is a chocolate colored with a polka dot sheer ribbon added to the top with my fast grab tacky glue. Then the other corner needed "something," so I tried a double looped bow with two ribbons using my bow-easy and it worked!! That was an exciting discovery. I had spent a bit of time making a sentiment for this card, then by the time it was assembled, had forgotten about it. So when I found it, I tucked it on the inside, that way when it's ready for sending I can add it if I want.
Thanks for coming by for a quick visit today. The weather is cool outside, but the sun is shining!! Another beautiful fall day here in Colorado!!
Stunning coloring Traci! What a lovely card!
ReplyDeleteThis made me smile . . .only a stamper would find it an exciting discovery to be able to make a double bow with a bow easy tool, but I completely understand what you mean! And the shading looks great on the strawberries.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful Traci.. I love this image and you could create with it on Christmas EVE and I would still think it was 'in' season.. I need to try that quick tacky glue.. I use glue dots and they are expensive.. I am so happy to see you stamped today.. It rained this a.m. Then it was hot and humid here.. 80s.
ReplyDeleteHugs...P.S. I cut my apples in small thin pieces.. Sorry about that. It is just like a mini apple pie..SOOO good. I made some pumpkin mouse today. It was not so good...
Can we go back to June so we can have some garden fresh strawberries? No? Okay, guess I'll just have to pluck off the yummylicious looking berries from your beautiful card.
ReplyDeleteIt's been raining for days here, but still, the autumn colors are so beautiful.
