Happy May Day!!
My good friends over in the dandy patch are having a challenge for a May Day card...and this is what I came up with. My friend, Lois, said she had fond memories of May Day and wearing pretty bows in her hair, going door to door with May Baskets and leaving them for neighbors and such.
This is my interpretation of May Day, I think of bright tulips, sunshiney skies, and the bow is for Lois and her hair bows!!
Do you have any May Day memories? If so, share them here, I'd love to read your comments!!

  2. Traci, that is such a beautiful May Day card! I absolutely LOVE tulips and wish they lasted longer in the season. I have only one dim memory of a May Day celebration from elementary school where we had made some baskets and paraded around the school with them.

  4. That's a lovely card traci! May Day . . . no particular memories of it. I do remember wearing new dresses every year for Easter, and when we were little girls the favorite part of the outfit had to be the huge matching bow we were in our hair (kind of like Mothermark's current bow). My favorite was a white bow that had little white ribbons hanging from it and on the end of each ribbon was a yellow daisy.
