SSIC Challenge 39 , ODBDSlC13
This week's sketch challenge on SCS was the starting point of the first card here for Stamping Sisters in Christ challenge blog. This week the scripture verse was :
Psalms 95:1-3 a
"O Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord, let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the Lord is a great God..."
You can read Grace's wonderful words by clicking on the SSIC blog (see sidebar). When our girls were little I always had Christian music playing and my sweet daughters would twirl and dance in their dress up clothes or holding their dolls. Many of those songs still run through my head, and have helped me evn now to memorize scripture because they are set to a tune. What a wonderful gift music is to us...it can elevate a mood, recall a memory, and sometimes aids in healing with our tears.
This is an encouragement card made with some of the same paper on my desk from the last one. I used one of my very first stamp sets, Feathered Friends for this. I love birds, and bird-watching, and have been enjoying their music lately. Well, except for the 5 a.m. variety show that wakes me up too early!
Thanks to Grace from ODBD, I decided to submit the second card to Our Daily Bread Design's blog challenge this week to use flowers. I love ODBD stamps, but don't think I have any with flowers on it, so am using this set from SU, "Vintage Vogue."
Thanks for stopping by my blog today...hope you are enjoying some uplifting music. For me it is the birds singing outside our windows...they seem to be very happy and making all kinds of racket out there!!
